With the Boxee Box, you can watch/view details of your favourite movies, TV shows or video clips directly from the internet (from sites such as IMDB and youtube) or from your hard disk drive on your plasma or HDTV without those wearisome PC/Laptop connections.

The Boxee Box is the product of the amalgamation of the popular software for internet videos by Boxee Box and the Tegra 2 hardware provided by the networking solutions giant D Link. Also, this cool gadget allows you to rate, share and comment videos on social networking sites like Facebook, Orkut, Twitter, etc. Just you and your remote control at the helm of controls. The dual sided remote control has navigation keys on one side, while on the other side, it has a neat QWERTY thumb board, meant for packed media library or internet navigation. It uses a Mozilla based browser and can play Flash content as well.

It can play full HD, i.e., 1080p and comes with a HDMI output connection. The boxee box plays virtually every digital media format except DRM Media. It has 2 USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet Connectors, expandable SD card slots and AC power connectors present. For internet access, alongwith the ethernet adapter, it also boasts of 802.11n Wi-Fi.

The beta version of the Boxee Box hit the stores on January 7,2010 and is priced at $200, which is quite affordable and makes it an interesting buy among the consumer.
