Posted by digital On April - 19 - 2010

Toshiba recently unveiled its latest product, the Cell TV. It would be better to actually term it a “machine” television than a simple television. It comes with a host of features which no television of past could provide.

A tech geek would easily tell that the rigs of this ‘super television’ are unprecedented and difficult to achieve. It comes with a hardware configuration that can beat any modern day computer. It has eight core processors of 3.2 GH almost ten times that of normal PCs.

It comes with some irresistible and lovable features which everyone would like to have his hands on. It has a special feature for those who love to stream the online videos on their television. But the problem usually faced by them is the pixilated quality of the already low quality internet video. To overcome this, Toshiba has introduced a TV enhances into its cell TV. Making use of Net Super Resolution, it converts and enhances the low quality internet video into a watchable one for those really big displays!

Besides, being 3-D ready, it also boasts of features and advanced technologies to convert 2D frames into 3D ones. It possesses the ability of Real Time Conversion, making use of the hardcore configurations showed off by it. Toshiba tells it Tri Vector Technology. In it, the 2D frames are analyzed and after figuring out the depth of field in each frame. This gives it a 3D effect and it can then be viewed using active shutter glasses. This is not available for the videos only, but also for the pictures, old or new, revisiting your old cherished moments. It’s a complete 3D package with the options of multiple 3D input formats like Real D, MPEGG-MVC, etc. It is equipped with 1080 full MD of 4K resolution, meaning 4 times crisper sharper and realistic images of a normal 1080pp (4096*2160), providing a mind blowing 3D experience at home.

The only thing which seems to prevent the customers from buying would be the cost factor involved. It has to be seen whether Toshiba makes it affordable to the masses or keeps it for the elite only!
