SatNav technology has come on a long way since the first standalone services were introduced, and these days consumers expect a lot from their navigational devices.  TomTom have been around a long time now and have released the latest version of their personal navigation device the GO Live 1000.

One of the first noticeable differences with the GO Live 1000 is in the looks, and this new version SatNav is much slimmer and more sophisticated than previous TomTom devices.  The GO Live 1000 is also stuffed full of new features and the new capacitive touchscreen makes this device very accessible and provides a seamless user experience.  One of the other improvements offered in the Go Live 1000 is the Webkit interface (utilizes the same engine that powers Google Chrome), which provides a fast, smooth way to browse between different features and settings, and this is all back up by an impressive hardware set up featuring a 500Mhz ARM11 processor, 128mb RAM and 4GB of storage.

The TomTom GO Live 1000 offers fast and efficient route planning and route adjustment features, auto volume adjust which will match the speaker volume according to the ambient noise level and also a sim card slot so that you can integrate the latest smartphone technology.  The GO Live 1000 covers over two million kilometers of road with address reorganization across 45 European countries.  You also get free 12 months access to the TomTom Live Services, and this provides you with plenty of good features including information on traffic, petrol prices, weather bulletins and speed camera alerts.
